Dryfall weekend 2018

Falling dry on the Wadden Sea

Drowning on the Wadden Sea in a/your Delphia with Tornado Yachting. On Friday evening we started with a bit of theory lesson by Cees Juffermans, eventually everyone calculated their own departure time for Saturday morning. With a record number of 18 Delphia's and over 90 boarders, we left Saturday morning sailing from our harbour in Makkum through the lock to the Wadden Sea. At 14:30 it was low tide at Kornwerderzand so we found a nice place to tie up on the shelf near the Verversgat. At about 13.30 most of the ships were dry on the plate and we had a delicious lunch. At about 17.00, most of the ships came loose again and everyone sailed back to Makkum. At 20.00, a delicious dinner was ready and everyone could tell their tall tales while enjoying a snack and a drink.

A very successful weekend, we would like to thank everyone very much for their enthusiasm and sociability during this weekend.

Warm regards and looking forward to seeing you,
